Holy Communion Dresses for Girls First Communion White Dresses

First Communion Open Days

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our two First Communion open days, we had lots of fun helping the girls to choose their favourite holy communion dresses; not an easy task when there are so many to choose from !

First time mums often think ‘what do girls wear to a first communion?’  The most important thing is a white dress, below the knee.  It doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, but it is often a wonderful time for mums to go shopping with their daughters to find a white communion dress that they are both delighted with.

Our Communion Wear appeals to all budgets, ranging from £40 to £150. There were some favourites, the Lily First Communion Dress was well liked, also the Beatrice with its lace bodice was very popular.  Many of the girls liked a bit of ‘bling’ as well , so the Juliette and the Anna Communion Dresses caught the eye of a few girls !

Communion Veils are optional.  Some mums really don’t like them, some mums like the idea of having a veil and for some it’s a necessity.  It is a personal choice, but there are some lovely discreet communion veils that just clip in to the back of the hair for those who are unsure, particularly the Sarah Louise Veils.  And there are veils with full tiaras attached, in different designs.

Communion bags and gloves are sometimes forbidden by churches, as girls tend to leave them on the pews and end up losing them , which is a shame because many of the girls love all the little extras !

Overall, we had two great days and we hope everyone has a wonderful First Communion !
